Det som har hänt är oerhört roligt och smått overkligt. I somras fick jag ett mail av Ian Sterns - mannen som signade Movits på Comedy Centrals skivbolag och som jag träffade i New York på spelningen som vi hade på Mercury Lounge, Manhattan. I mailet berättade han att att han verkligen gillade mitt album och att mina låtar hade spelats på radiostationer i New York. Han ville släppa och promota Visst är det vackert i USA genom hans label 59 North recordings Efter förhandlingar mellan mig, mitt skivbolag BD pop och 59 North recordings blev det verklighet. Idag den 12 Oktober släpps min skiva officiellt i USA!
Jag har märkt att det har varit en hel del intresse från USA då det droppat in massor av trevliga mail från jänkare och jag fick t.o.m. en födelsedagspresent skickad till mig av ett amerikanskt fan (thanks Claire). Många upptäckte mig efter den landsomfattande USA-turnén och många upptäckte mig genom Movits. Att jag som svensk rappare, som rappar på svenska, skulle få signa med ett amerikanskt bolag - det trodde jag aldrig. Detta känns väldigt inspirerande och jag hoppas återigen få chansens att spela på amerikansk mark. En till USA-turné vore sjukt kul!

ZACKE’S DEBUT ALBUM “VISST ÄR DET VACKERT” TO BE
RELEASED IN THE UNITED STATES BY 59 NORTH RECORDINGS® ON OCTOBER 12
NEW YORK, October 1, 2010 – Swedish rapper Zacke will release his full length debut album “Visst Är Det Vackert” in the United States on 59 North Recordings on October 12. Zacke’s “Visst Är Det Vackert” was first released to critical acclaim in Sweden in February 2010, but soon became an underground hit in the US, despite only being available as a $33 import CD. Zacke made his mark in the United States while on a nationwide tour with Movits! in January 2010. His video for “Spela Mig På Radion” has been viewed 100,000 times on YouTube, and the song itself, which mocks Swedish radio for only playing American-sounding music, is now – somewhat ironically – played on the radio in both Sweden and America alike.
59 North Recordings Director of A&R Ian Stearns first heard Zacke when he joined Movits! on stage at New York City’s Mercury Lounge in January 2010, where he brought the house down with songs like “1000-0 Till Idioterna” and “Spela mig på radion”. Impressed by what he heard, Mr. Stearns contacted BDpop, Zacke’s record label in Sweden, who would be releasing “Visst Är Det Vackert” the following month. When he learned that BDpop didn’t intend to distribute the album in North America, he expressed 59 North’s desire to do so, and later that year a deal was put in place.
“Zacke is an incredible and charismatic performer,” says Mr. Stearns. “And where Movits! charts new ground by making hip hop and classic jazz sound natural together, Zacke does so with the most cutting edge of beats and melodic hooks, all while maintaining a refreshingly playful style.
